Their infrastructure is apparently Eastlink. I changed to Sunwire because Eastlink who is in the East of Canada were always making changes which brought down access. That being said. Sunwire will not be able to provide a time frame until Eastlink provides a time frame. That is if, the problem actually is the infrastructure. Hope Eastlink figures this one out...???? Good luck!

We spoke to a rep, and they are unsure at this time when services will be running. To those threatening to drop the service, this is a first for me with Sunwire. Probably the least issues out of all the other companies I have been with. Unfortunately it happens to the best of companies. Technology isn’t perfect. We need to be kind to the workers, and let them do their job. And, also be patient. It will come back on in time.

Services should be restored in the next 3 - 167 hours as per our estimation at 5:30 PM. We’re experiencing a high number of calls, therefore not all calls can be answered in a swift pace, but rest assured (with no internet of course) that we will get you online by the time the beer store opens…. next Monday. I find it very unprofessional that Sun ware hasn’t released a statement regarding the outage of their services, half of Canada doesn’t have Internet and there’s been nothing posted online nothing said why no but he’s reaching out to anybody, so what’s going on? Sudbury Ontario

Author Sunwire Inc. Unfortunately, we do not have an answer at this time other than - as soon as possible. Because the issue resides with the cable infrastructure owners, we are working with them and awaiting updates. As soon as we have something to share; we'll provide an update.....that is from Sunwire on fb page....so they are responding....P3p1w7

Listen to Sean Arter, I’ve work in IT as a telecommunications technician for years out west for Telus. And he is right things happen and that’s just how it is getting the services back up and running it takes time especially the severity of this issue affecting multiple cities. There’s lots to be done tests to be done to make sure the service is working correctly. It’s not like just hitting a switch and it’s back on. They will slowly return services in segments or rather sections. And as they do, so, they run tests as well. I mean come on guys not having the Internet isn’t the end of the world. Anyone remember what it used to be like when there was no Internet? Or better yet dial up? It’s a beautiful day go to the beach hang out outside do something in the meantime. Then before you know it, it’ll be back up and running.

Outages happen, I believe they are doing best they can to rectify service. I do not blame Sunwire for not answering the phone they clearly state there is an outage and they are working on it. Answering hundreds of calls asking same questions that are redundant would keep them from fixing issues. Unless you have worked in any IT field you have no idea how much work it is...just my options.
